Firefighter Medical Directives and Policies
The SWCPM offers a variety of Medical Directive options to best meet the needs of your service and community.
Each Medical Directive package contains the following standard Medical Directives, Policies and Guidelines:
- Intro and Preamble
- Oxygen Therapy Medical Directive
- Carbon Monoxide Medical Directive
- Guidelines for Interaction with a Physician on Scene
- Guidelines for Cardiac Arrest Transfer of Care to Firefighters and/Paramedics
- Determination of Obvious Death
- Guidelines for Prehospital DNR and Expected Death
- Guidelines for Death in the Home When There is NO DNR Confirmation Form
- Firefighter Certification Policy
- Deactivation and Decertification Policy
- Documentation Standards
